Install in 5 steps
- Open the official Eclipse Animator listing and check that the creator is @riftkuro.
- Sign in to Roblox and get the plugin. It goes into your account’s inventory.
- Open Roblox Studio with the same account. Restart Studio if it was already open.
- Open any place, go to the Plugins tab and click Eclipse.
- Dock the Eclipse window next to your viewport so it stays out of the way (tutorial at 2:47).
Eclipse is not showing up
| What you see | What to try |
|---|---|
| No Eclipse button in the Plugins tab | Make sure Studio is signed in to the account that got the plugin, then restart Studio. Check Manage Plugins to see whether it is installed but disabled. |
| The store page will not load | On launch day users reported the listing and Discord briefly going down. Wait a few minutes and use the direct link above instead of searching. |
| Search shows the wrong “Eclipse” | The store has unrelated items with similar names, such as an audio track called ECLIPSE. Use the direct link with asset ID 86116556258301. |
| Bugs or errors after opening | The developers call it “VERY new” and update it often. Restart Studio to get the latest version and report bugs in the official Discord. |
Optional: companion apps
You do not need anything else to animate. Two optional tools are published by riftkuro on GitHub:
- Eclipse Blender, a Blender add-on for rigs and animation exchange. See the Blender guide.
- Eclipse Video, a desktop app that pairs with the video previewer. On Windows, run the installer from the latest GitHub release. On Mac, download the Apple silicon or Intel zip, unzip it and drag the app to Applications. If macOS blocks the first launch, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
