What is Eclipse Animator?
Eclipse Animator is a plugin that lets you animate rigs inside Roblox Studio. The developers call it “the flagship animation plugin for any roblox animation type.” It is aimed at people who would otherwise use Moon Animator 2 or switch out to Blender.
It went live on the Creator Store on October 14, 2026. The listing is updated often (version v1.0958 as of 2026-10-16), and the developers write that it is “VERY new,” so expect bugs and frequent fixes.

Eclipse Animator vs Moon Animator 2
Moon Animator 2 is the paid plugin most Roblox animators already know. Eclipse is pitched as a replacement with more Blender-style tools. We compare them side by side, including what is still unproven about Eclipse, in Eclipse Animator vs Moon Animator 2.
Safety: the plugin is only distributed through the Roblox Creator Store. Ignore “free download” files, .rbxm uploads or links in comments. Plugins can run code in Studio, and fake copies are a common way to get malware into games.
